Thank you for your interest in our homepage. I am pleased to introduce the Clinic for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The University Clinic for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a modern treatment center, which offers specialized oral surgical treatment.

Health care in the north of Saxony-Anhalt and beyond.

For the inpatient treatment of approximately 1400 patients per year, 26 patient beds and two operating rooms are available. Our university outpatient clinic is equipped with five efficient treatment units. Approximately 2500 patients are treated surgically here every year. We have a special focus on dental implant treatment. Our clinic has a dental laboratory and a modern X-ray department, including state-of-the-art DVT (digital volume tomography).

Our range of services includes all surgical procedures in oral and maxillofacial surgery. These are mainly the treatment of mandibular, facial skull and dental fractures, the treatment of cleft lip, jaw and palate, craniofacial surgery (skull deformities), the surgical therapy of jaw malpositions (combined orthodontic/jaw surgical therapy), the complex, partly interdisciplinary treatment of tumor diseases including plastic-reconstructive measures in the facial area and for the restoration of the jaw bone. In performing surgery, we follow the latest technical medical standards and provide individually coordinated, tailored therapy for each patient.

In addition, cooperation with outpatient colleagues, as well as interdisciplinary cooperation with other departments in the university hospital and beyond, is essential and ensures holistic, best-possible care for our patients. To maintain this quality standard in daily work, motivated and professionally qualified employees are available in the medical and nursing fields.

In addition to hospital care, the University Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery contributes to the continuing education and training of medical and dental colleagues, the education of medical students, and scientific research activities.
